(Photo by Pornprom Satrabhaya)The Election Commission (EC) has recommended that the Thai Raksa Chart Party be dissolved for allegedly drawing the monarchy into politics. The EC was to send the case to the Constitution Court later on Monday. If the court agrees with the EC, Thai Raksa Chart will be disbanded and its executives barred from politics -- voting and running for elections -- either for 10 years or for life. The election law requires a candidate to belong to a party for at least 90 days before the election, leaving them with no time to switch. However, they can hope to run in the next election.
